Remy Liboureau and Groupe Berto at Libner: tailor-made beverage delivery

Fourgon de distribution à ouverture latérale motorisée

On 29 October 2026, Libner welcomed the fleet manager of Rémy Liboureau and a sales representative from Groupe Berto to Saint-Maixent-l’École. A drinks distributor, an industrial vehicle leasing company and a body manufacturer: three businesses sharing one goal, reliable delivery vehicles, day after day.

Rémy Liboureau, drinks supplier since 1896

For more than 120 years, Rémy Liboureau has carried on a family history serving professionals. An independent merchant based in Saint-Mesmin, in the Vendée region of western France, the company supplies cafés, hotels, restaurants, bars, wine shops, supermarkets and public institutions with wines, beers, spirits, soft drinks, coffee and tea.

Its depots cover the Vendée, Charente-Maritime, Loire-Atlantique and Deux-Sèvres departments, including a site in La Crèche, just a few kilometres from our plants. With 154 employees and more than 350 deliveries a day, its truck fleet is at the heart of its business.

Groupe Berto, the leasing company that links it all

Groupe Berto leases industrial vehicles, with or without drivers, to companies in many sectors, including food and beverage distribution.

Berto supplies Rémy Liboureau with leased vehicles, which it orders fitted with Libner bodies.

Three ways of working together

The relationship between the three companies shows how flexible the Libner model is:

  • Direct purchase: Rémy Liboureau has bought several units directly from Libner, most recently in 2024.
  • Bodies ordered by the leasing company: Groupe Berto orders complete bodies from Libner for its customer Rémy Liboureau.
  • Kits fitted by a partner body builder: body builders among Libner’s customers, such as Corsin, Fersol and Moletta Obrado, order our body kits and fit them on chassis owned by Berto.

Purchase, lease or kit: the distributor benefits from Libner’s expertise, whichever acquisition method best suits its fleet management.

Delivering drinks calls for a dedicated body

A drinks delivery round is a succession of stops: city-centre cafés, restaurants, supermarkets, events. At each stop, the driver loads and unloads pallets, crates and kegs, often on the street.

That is the role of a beverage delivery body: fast access to the goods, secure loading and a body that keeps pace with hundreds of deliveries.

For this purpose, Rémy Liboureau has added three Intégrale units to its fleet. The Intégrale is Libner’s beverage delivery body, and its key feature is a motorised side opening. The side panels, made of double-walled aluminium profiles, are raised electrically and stow under the roof. The whole side of the body is cleared: the driver can reach every pallet, crate and keg.

Depending on the configuration, the Intégrale can also be fitted with a folding tail lift at the rear and side steps for safe access to the load area. On a round with dozens of stops, every minute saved on unloading counts, and the work is less strenuous for the driver.

A day in our workshops

The visit included a presentation of the company, its history and its range, followed by a tour of the workshops, right where the bodies fitted on their vehicles are built.

This kind of exchange is at the heart of our approach: the fleet manager knows the field, the leasing company knows the constraints of fleet management, and our design office turns it all into technical solutions.
